Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you shop with Clara Byrne, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
- Order information: your name, delivery address, billing address, email address and phone number
- Payment information: processed by our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number
- Device information: browser, IP address, time zone, and the pages you view, collected through cookies and similar technologies
- Anything you send us: the contents of emails you write to us
Why we collect it
- To take payment, pack your order and get it to you
- To email you about your order and its delivery
- To answer you when you contact us
- To screen orders for fraud
- To send marketing, but only if you asked us to, and you can stop it at any time
Who we share it with
Only the parties we need to in order to run the shop: our e-commerce platform, our payment provider, the carriers who deliver your parcel, and our email provider. We do not sell your personal information.
Some of these providers are located outside Australia, which means your information may be stored or processed overseas.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep your cart working, to remember your preferences, and to understand how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but parts of the site will stop working properly if you do.
Marketing emails
If you subscribe, every email has an unsubscribe link. One click and you are off the list.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we are required to keep them for tax and accounting purposes. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@clarabyrne.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Children
This site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version appears on this page.
